Yes, I think most people will be more conservative in their spending and more aggressive in saving even if the markets fully recover.

No, people will cut back spending in the short term but go back to high spending and living on credit when the markets recover.

Only those that are forced to cut back over the long term will. The rest will live as extravagantly as possible .
